North London Forever
The unexpected football anthem that is capturing imaginations

"North London Forever..."
"Whatever the weather..."
I watch for the 73rd time, without skipping. Truly captivating and emotional stuff.
Finished watching some videos on the origin of the song, how it came to become Arsenal's anthem, and how much feels are attached to it now—incredible stuff. Louis Mark Dunford cooked up something really special. There is a video of him, in the stadium, watching as the whole stadium echoes back to him the lines that he conjured up. I cannot begin to imagine how good that indescribable feeling must feel.
"These streets are our own..."
The impact Mikel Arteta has had on this club, on the footballing world, is insane. The biggest thing he accomplished was getting the Arsenal supporters their pride back, developing a sense of style and play that was something truly their own, something truly North London.
"And my heart will leave you never..."
I truly believe this heart and soul around a football club really makes fans fall for one and somehow pledge their lifelong allegiances. The Invincibles, Thierry Henry, Bergkamp, and all the stories and legends certainly help build the lore and mystique around it. But for a while since Wenger left, the Gunners were in a limbo, trying to figure out who they were as they struggled with their identity. Now they are champions, and in what a manner.
Trust the process, be delusional, and keep going. Champions League will also arrive soon enough.
